I am taking a break from this newsletter for my holiday season. Daddy needs some time to rest and think over what carrot he needs to go after next. It sounds rich when I say holiday season but mostly I will be preparing some materials, designing a course, reading books and try not to think about inflation.

🧠 Good to Know:
Optimistic Nihilism:
Nihilism is the view that nothing exists and that nothing can be known.
Nihilists deny the existence of God, the freedom of the will, the possibility of knowledge and morality.
Optimistic nihilism on the other hand, accepts that there is no meaning to this world and says that live along, enjoy, create your own meaning, multiples of it, if possible.
Optimistic nihilists are kind of absurdists, in the sense that they seek meaning in their tiny lifespan but all they get is the silence of the world.
I am going to die anyway, why not enjoy it for the hells sake?

This is an article for the book I am currently reading “The Case Against Death”. Interesting concepts and ideas are laid out in the book. Read the article to see if this interests you. I realized that I firmly accepted I am going to die and whenever I see any sentence that claims otherwise is possible, my urge to resist is activated.
“Writer David Ewing Duncan traveled the United States giving talks on biotechnology and life extension. At each venue, he asked the audience if they would want to live 80 years, 120 years, 150 years, or forever. People were allowed to imagine breakthroughs in antiaging medicine. Out of 30,000 people, around 60 percent responded by saying 80 years, 30 percent said 120 years, nearly 10 percent said 150 years, and less than 1 percent said forever.”

📽️ 1 Series/ Film or Documentary:
This week we watched Elvis at the cinema and it was breath-taking, and long :) Films must not be over 2 hours I believe. I recommend you create some time for this film as soon as possible.
There’s a lot of people saying a lot of things. But in the end, you got to listen to yourself.
