🧠 Good to Know
This is a new addition to the newsletter. An important concept, explained in 5 sentences.
ABSURDISM:
Dictionary definition of absurdism is the belief that human beings exist in a purposeless, chaotic universe.
Camus points out that life is meaningless, the world is silent, there is no a-priori meaning to our existence but humans are still compelled to search for meaning by default.
“That universal reason, practical or ethical, that determinism, those categories that explain everything are enough to make a decent man laugh”, says Camus.
So practically, nothing matters and there is no more awesome thing than this.
Camus suggests that we must revolve against the absurdity of life and keep searching for the meaning, namely, he says live absurdly and freely since there is no ultimate meaning to any of it.
“There is only one really serious philosophical problem,” Camus says, “and that is suicide. Deciding whether or not life is worth living is to answer the fundamental question in philosophy. All other questions follow from that.”

Here are some good advice compiled from reddit.
Most advice sucks. So I crowdsourced the best from 20 million people on Reddit. Here are 10 life tips you wish you knew yesterday👇My gems:
“What proof would it take to change your mind?” If they can’t give you an answer, then stop wasting your time.
"Getting angry at people for making mistakes doesn't teach them not to make mistakes. It teaches them to hide their mistakes."
And here is some advice from me: Listen to what people tell you. Be interested in the story. Ask further questions. Repeat some new information revealed to you back to the person to show you care and listen. Please do not wait for your turn to speak. It is a conversation, you must build up on what you have heard, not destroy it and start something else.
I love lists. There is no question about it. However, this books list seemed very high quality to me. There were some recommendations that you need to read the book first to make that recommendation.
The best thing about this kind of list is that they unveil some hidden gems. Here are my favs for you, although they were not hidden for me:
Here is some wise sayings about important values:
"It’s easier to hold someone or something else responsible for your pain than to take responsibility for ending your own victimhood."
I do not remember which book it was, but I do remember perfectly that if you are giving examples to support your arguments you need to count 3.
Try for yourself, when you are citing examples and cut it at the second example, you feel incomplete.
The best explanation as to why we love the number three is this:
“Pattern recognition is something we are amazing at – we've been conditioned to do so, and the reason the rule of three works for well is because three is the smallest number required to create a pattern. It helps the message stick.” [Source]
“Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité.“
Loved this painting, and had to share it. Something about it is so sexy:
👼How about some melting?
Florenzi went to his grandma to celebrate the goal. Are you not living for moments like this? I am pretty much alive now that I see it, I can hug the table.

This article summarizes the design flaws we as human-beings commonly share.
An unsound spine: “When our ancestors walked on all fours, their spines arched, like a bow, to withstand the weight of the organs suspended below. But then we stood up. That threw the system out of whack by 90 degrees, and the spine was forced to become a column. Next, to allow for bipedalism, it curved forward at the lower back. And to keep the head in balance—so that we didn’t all walk around as if doing the limbo—the upper spine curved in the opposite direction. This change put tremendous pressure on the lower vertebrae, sticking about 80 percent of adults, according to one estimate, with lower back pain.”
Exposed testicles: “Apparently the testicles (unlike the ovaries) get thrown out in the cold because sperm must be kept at 2.5 to 3 degrees Fahrenheit below the body’s internal temperature. Gallup hypothesizes that these lower temperatures keep sperm relatively inactive until they enter the warm confines of a vagina, at which point they go racing off to fertilize the egg”
This article gives you some important ideas that can give some additional perspective on your narrowed life. Sentences like the following can influence you to learn more, dig more, and change more : “Mimetic Theory of Desire: Humans are like sheep. We don’t know what we want, so we imitate each other. Instead of creating our own desires, we desire the same things as other people.
My addition: My addition: Between the stimulus from the outside and your response there is 2-3 seconds. You are not disturbed by something unless you run to label it bad. Try to use that flick of a second to control your emotions, just let go. Let’s call this : “Shits-have-no-power-over-you-unless-you-give-them-power”
Hmm yummy, quotes again.
Thousands of candles can be lit from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared.”
Our life is shaped by our mind; we become what we think. Suffering follows an evil thought as the wheels of a cart follow the oxen that draw it. Our life is shaped by our mind; we become what we think. Joy follows a pure thought like a shadow that never leaves.”

This video was thought-provoking when I first saw it back in the day. It landed on my social feeds. Aging is strange. Days are long but years are short indeed.

This time it is documentary time. Since we mentioned Bob Ross, it is a documentary on him.

When I remembered I saved an information about Pericles, I just needed to type it. Even though it was just an ss, it immediately finds it.
